That is it folks. We have our Main Event Finale.

iWL's very own The Headbashers and Idols VS the masked team of The Truth

Participants in mind, it was time to find out what the Main Event match type would be. We polled our fans and 57% requested a TLC match.
Tables, Ladders, and Chairs. Oh yeah!

This is it folks. Who would walk out as the new iWL Tag Team Champions? It was time to find out.

Both teams showcased tremendous talent in and out of the ring. Truly I have never been one for spotfest matches but even I cried out Holy Shit more than once during the course of the event.

One such highspot saw us witness the larger member of The Truth catapult Rex from THI over the ropes and OVER two stacked tables, landing his backside on the laid out ladder below. While at the same time his partner had Barbra in a halfnelson climbing the ladder inside the ring, they jumped off and DDT'd Barbra though both tables. Tremendous!

Another spot saw Barbra counter out of a sleeper hold for a jaw breaker, which Rex capitalized with a ladder pivot.

The two teams even went up to our iWL tron and fought around it. Sadly the tron got a ladder tossed into the lower portion, ruining the video feed to the fans in attendance.

The larger member of The Truth tossed his partner off the turnbuckle for a bodysplash on Rex straight through a table.

Once back in the ring The Truth set up two ladders side by side and scaled them to the top. They simply sat at the top of the ladders, fingertips away from the hanging belts, while Rex and Barbra were laid out outside the ring, helpless.

Folks, it was like they were tempting us. For, who knows what.

Slowly and efficiently, they reached up and unhooked the belts, while standing side by side on the two ladders, their masks hiding any emotion on their face.

Would you expect them to be cheered or booed? I was not sure either until the two dropped down from the ladders and set them up outside the ring, using the ring apron and announcer table as vertical posts.

What we all saw next, amazed even my old heart. They rested Rex and Barbra across the two ladders, head and legs dangling off the ends, then scooted the ladders so the bodies weren't hanging but no support was present for the stomach area.

The Truth then did the unthinkable.
Looking back, Holyhell we should not have allowed them to participate.

The shorter one leaps off the ropes with a frogsplash across the exposed skin. And then proceeded to hold down the headbangers as his partner stood on the apron, arms spread out.

He leaned forward.

And fell.

It was like an avalanche crushing everything in its' path. Even the ladders gave-way to the weight.

Even watching, I was not sure I saw what we just saw. The end result however was our iWL Tag Team Champions were The Truth. Whomever they may be beneath those masks, they were surely happy.

The deafening boo's that filled the arena as they made their leave up the ramp, told the whole story.

This night.
We
Lost.
